Walt Disney World is 40 on Saturday!

"Disney's Magic Kingdom will celebrate its 40th birthday with a parade of Disney costumed characters, fireworks and special merchandise on Saturday 1st October.

The parade will begin at about 9:45 a.m., going from the Main Street Train Station to Cinderella Castle. The Disney characters will gather there alongside Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton and cast members with 40 years of Disney World experience.

A ceremony will include memories from the past four decades of Disney, a sing-along with the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet, singers, dancers and daytime pyrotechnics." ~ www.thedibb.co.uk

Had to get the Florida Oak tree pruned at this one of the Kissimmee Villas.  Can't believe how fast it grows.  It was only pruned 3 years ago!

Not sure if you knew but we have a Category 3 Hurricane arriving on Friday morning, might be a cat 4 if its strengthens.

As usual we are planning ahead and are currently calling all our guests to make them aware, some of them did NOT know it was coming but this has always been our practice to make a personal call to each of our homes to raise awareness & so they can ask questions. We dont know of many other management companies that do this but we feel guest safety is essential.

Once we know how bad it is we will make plans to visit properties to check them but please remember that we may have a curfew like in 2004 so we will not be allowed drive until the law enforcement lift the curfew.

Also remember they may restrict phone calling to allow for emergency services & utilities, please try not to call us, email is best BUT we may have no power!!

Off to fill up the cars with fuel now, just in case !!
